Nice state park campground. Sites are gravelly, generally shaded and reasonably spaced. Electrical sites available (30 and 50 amp). Can accommodate rigs up to 50 feet but must carefully select site as many are not suitable for large RVs or RVs at all. Some sites are quite out of level. Fire ring and picnic table ate every site. Cabins and yurts are also available. Bathhouses are older, but are clean and have flush toilets, hot showers, sinks, fresh water and dish washing station. Note that there is not a bathhouse in every loop. Small playground located on Cherry loop. Short drive via SR 2010 (note: very steep and winding) down to Cucumber Falls, the "chutes", Ohiopyle village, access to Great Allegheny Passage bike trail and excellent park visitor center. Note that there isn't much in the way of restaurants or stores in Ohiopyle so make sure you pick up your supplies before arriving at campground. Can purchase ice and firewood at the entrance to the campground. Close to Kentuck Knob and Fallingwater Frank Lloyd Wright houses. Must pay to park a second vehicle at site unless you use the remote parking area outside of the main campground.

This place was amazing for hosting events! We had stayed 3 days for a boy scout troop camping trip. This campground has playgrounds, accessible showers, and great views. The river is just down the mountain and allows rafting.

Loved staying here! The bath houses are close, and clean. The campground is beautiful, and the cabins are nice! If you’re staying in the cabins bring a fan with you as some of the windows don’t have screens in them! Perfect location to all things/activities Ohiopyle

Site 34. Electric only. This site is level, shaded and very spacious. For those tent camping be advised that the pad is rough gravel. With that being said, a tarp under the tent took care of that. The playground is one spot down. If your looking for a quite spot, this is not it. The bathrooms are close, clean and have a dishwashing station. The water pressure is amazing. However, the one thing I found funny is every time someone flushed the toilets the shower pressure would fluctuate. There are 2 private shower stalls, each with a bench and 3 pegs to hang things. Unfortunately, there is not a curtain to divide the changing area and shower, this allows water to soak the floor and bench. During our stay we did not have issues with mesquites. Despite that plus, the ticks are out of control. We would find ticks everywhere. Just sitting around the fire, walking around the site became an all out tick check. Can’t be to upset with this, it is camping in nature. The campground is near all the local attractions; waterfalls, restaurants, Laurel Caverns, Fallingwater house, and many other site seeing places. Have dinner early, because local restaurants do close at 7pm and most are closed on Wednesdays. Overall, nice campground and area for a weeks stay.

Really a great campground. The sites are not on top of each other like some campgrounds. Rangers give educational lectures many of the nights. Pretty good facilities. With a little bit of a steep hike you can access the Great Allegheny Passage trail for miles of beauty. Also, within easy driving distance to most of the major natural wonders of the Ohiopyle area.

Really good place for camping. The cottages are good size. There is heater and somewhat hard mattress. Bringing mattress topper or something would be good idea. Handicap ones has driveway. The other ones, park and walk to the cottage. Lots of hiking trails around this area.

The campground itself is fairly nice. We had a modern tent site with electrical hook up. There was a leveled, boxed in area for our tent, a covered area with a picnic table, fire pit & lantern hooks. The restrooms were clean & included dishwashing stations. The reason for 3 stars is the lack of rule enforcement. There were a group of presumably drunk individuals on the next street over from ours cursing, laughing loudly, talking loudly up till 4 am. I called the police at 3 am & it took them an hour to get there. They found the offenders, easily, as they still had a fire going & told them to be quiet. Night 2 the rudeness, including playing with their car horn, went on from 11 till about 1 am., so they obviously weren’t made to leave. I would not take a chance again with no manager or security on site to deter inconsiderate guests. If you’re a very sound sleeper, have an RV, or can drown out noise with a fan, then go for it.

The campground itself is beautiful and the sites are well spread out. The bathrooms could use some updating but they did clean them everyday. There is ice and firewood available at the entrance and the campground is centrally located with hiking, biking and waterfalls within close range. We had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend.
